Hank was a true “Legend” in Country Music Songwriting, and my friend.
I was blessed to have known, written with and be a friend to the legendary hit songwriter Hank Cochran.
I spent countless hours with him not only writing but also listening to his stories about his writing career, his time with Patsy Cline, Red Lane, Willie, Merle, and many others. Listening to hours of music on Willie’s bus, watching him get a long fax from sound-scan to see what songs sold for the day. Playing Live at WSM with Hank & Red and countless memories that I will forever cherish. I actually ended up buying his Lexus and drove it for many years.
He was a legend, but also a good friend. RIP!
